A hit-and-run driver struck and killed a 16-year-old girl riding a minibike in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded to reports of a collision near West Century Boulevard and San Pedro Street around 2 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the minibike wedged beneath the front end of a black hatchback, which had sustained visible damage from the impact.
