Albany Police Investigate Fatal Shooting on Yates Street
ALBANY, NY – A fatal shooting in the early hours of Monday, February 10, 2025, has prompted an active investigation by the Albany Police Department.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., officers responded to reports of an unresponsive male in the 200 block of Yates Street, near South Lake Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head.

Victim Pronounced Deceased
Emergency medical personnel provided immediate treatment at the scene before transporting the victim to Albany Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
