Southwest Christian Academy Mourns Loss of Second-Grader in Tragic Car Accident
Southwest Christian Academy is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Nel’ Taiyah Green, a second-grade student who died in a car accident earlier this week. The tragic incident also claimed the lives of her brother, CJ Clemons, and their mother.
In a statement posted on social media, a school representative described the loss as “profound” and expressed deep sorrow over Nel’ Taiyah’s passing. “Nel’ Taiyah was a beloved part of our SCA family, and her vibrant spirit will be sorely missed. We extend our heartfelt condolences to all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. We ask for prayers for her teacher and classmates as they navigate this difficult time.”

CJ Clemons, Nel’ Taiyah’s brother, was a junior at Morrilton High School, where he was a student athlete and played varsity basketball for the Devil Dogs. His death has also left the Morrilton community in mourning.
Authorities have not yet released details about the cause of the accident or the identity of the mother who also lost her life in the crash.
The Southwest Christian Academy and Morrilton High School communities are coming together to support one another during this time of immense grief. Counselors and support staff are available to help students and staff cope with the loss.
