It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved brother, Craig Jacques Austria-Aujero, who passed away on March 1, 2025, due to complications related to mental health. For a long time, my kuya (older brother) fought bravely against the challenges of anxiety and depression. His struggles were real, deep, and at times overwhelming. Despite his strength and determination, the weight of his mental health battles ultimately became too much to bear.
As a family, we have chosen to share his story openly, not only to honor the incredible person he was but also to raise awareness about the importance of mental health. Craig’s passing serves as a painful reminder of how crucial it is for each of us to acknowledge and support those facing similar battles. Mental health is just as important as physical health, and no one should ever have to suffer in silence or alone.
If sharing Craig’s story helps even one person seek the help and support they need, then his memory will continue to make a positive difference in this world. Please know that if you are struggling with mental health, you are not alone – help is available, and your life is precious.
Our hearts go out to Craig as we pray for his peace in the afterlife. To my kuya, I will always love you, from the day you called me your little brother until now. May you rest in peace.
Please keep Craig and our family in your thoughts and prayers.
