Authorities are investigating a tragic murder-suicide at a Holiday Inn Express in Oakland County, where a 34-year-old woman from Saginaw and a 33-year-old man from Vassar were found dead late Friday night.
Incident Details
According to police, officers responded to a domestic dispute call at the Holiday Inn Express located at 3990 Baldwin Rd. around 10:45 p.m. As they approached the hotel room, officers reportedly heard two gunshots from inside.
Upon entering, they discovered both individuals deceased from gunshot wounds. A three-year-old girl, who was also in the room, was found unharmed.
Preliminary findings indicate that the man fatally shot the woman before taking his own life, police said.
Child’s Safety and Investigation
The child was transported to a local hospital as a precaution and was later released into the care of a family member.
The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct autopsies to confirm the official cause of death. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the deceased.
