Tragic Accident in Southeast South Dakota Claims Life of 24-Year-Old Woman
A devastating accident occurred in Southeast South Dakota on Monday, February 3, resulting in the loss of life of a young woman. The Department of Public Safety has confirmed that 24-year-old Faith Tweedy, a resident of Yankton, South Dakota, tragically passed away in the incident.
According to preliminary findings, the accident occurred at 11:20 a.m. on U.S. Highway 81, approximately nine miles south of Freeman in Hutchinson County. Tweedy’s 2008 Dodge Ram veered off the road, entered an eastbound ditch, and rolled over.
Randall Clifton, a 31-year-old passenger from Yankton, sustained minor injuries in the accident. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
