Nashville Man Identified as Victim in Fatal KFC Shooting
A tragic shooting incident occurred at a KFC in North Nashville on Wednesday, claiming the life of 40-year-old Christopher Ray Smith. According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Smith was fatally shot by 30-year-old Isaiah Maston during a dispute.
The altercation reportedly began when Maston’s unleashed bulldog approached Smith and a companion, leading to a heated verbal exchange between the two men. The situation escalated, and Maston allegedly fired several rounds at Smith.
Smith was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. Maston has been charged with criminal homicide and aggravated assault and is being held at the Davidson County Jail on a $210,000 bond.
