Tragic Domestic Incident Leads to Murder Charge
A devastating incident occurred in the early hours of Friday in the 500 block of East 18th Street, resulting in the fatal shooting of 24-year-old Alexis Walls by her common-law husband, Brandon Michael Dickerson, 29.
According to court documents, Dickerson called 911 at approximately 12:40 a.m. to report the crime, stating he had just killed his wife.
Responding Bryan Police officers found Walls deceased inside their residence with multiple gunshot wounds. Dickerson was taken into custody without incident.
During the investigation, Dickerson confessed to shooting Walls 15 times, motivated by suspicions of infidelity. Miraculously, the couple’s 18-month-old child, who was present during the shooting, was unharmed. Child Protective Services have been notified and are involved in the case.
Dickerson is currently being held in the Brazos County Jail on a $250,000 bond, facing murder charges. Authorities have assured the public that this was an isolated incident, posing no ongoing threat.
