A 13-year-old boy was fatally shot Thursday night in Winton Hills, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.
At approximately 9:00 p.m., officers responded to a report of a person down on Dutch Colony Drive. Upon arrival, police discovered the young victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Emergency responders transported the teen to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
Authorities have not yet determined the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Police stated that no witnesses have come forward, and no suspects have been identified at this time.
Detectives are actively investigating the incident and urge anyone with information to come forward.
