A Morgan County man has been convicted in connection with a fatal crash that claimed the life of a 19-year-old in 2019. After a ten-day jury trial, Reaford Williams was found guilty of driving under the influence and causing the death of Troy Howard. The tragic incident occurred on March 20, 2019, at the I-565 exit ramp to County Line Road, as confirmed by Huntsville Police.
Following the collision, Howard was rushed to Huntsville Hospital with critical injuries. Despite weeks on life support, he tragically passed away on April 9, 2019. Authorities stated that Williams’ impaired driving directly led to the fatal wreck, resulting in the recent conviction.
