Triple Fatal Head-On Collision Rocks Adelanto Community
A devastating head-on collision on El Mirage Road in Adelanto claimed the lives of three people and left three others injured in the early hours of Friday, February 7, 2025.
According to authorities, the tragic accident occurred around 5:38 a.m. when a red Honda sedan, driven by a lone occupant, collided with a dark-gray 2001 Chevy Tahoe carrying five passengers.

The driver of the Honda and two occupants of the Tahoe, including a rear passenger, were pronounced dead at the scene. A male passenger from the SUV was airlifted to Antelope Valley Hospital with life-threatening injuries, while the remaining two passengers were transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Preliminary investigations suggest that the SUV was traveling westbound on El Mirage Road when the sedan, heading eastbound, veered into oncoming traffic, leading to the fatal crash.
The accident prompted authorities to close El Mirage Road in both directions between Richardson Avenue and Koala Road for several hours as they conducted their investigation.
The San Bernardino County Coroner has been notified, and the identities of the victims will be released once their families have been informed. The investigation is ongoing.
