Fatal Shooting at Miramar Walgreens Leaves One Dead, Suspect Charged with Manslaughter
Miramar, FL – A deadly confrontation between two customers inside a Walgreens store in Miramar on Monday has resulted in the death of 27-year-old Anthony Souvenir, who was celebrating his birthday.
According to police reports, the shooting occurred shortly before noon at the Walgreens located in the 2400 block of S.W. 101st Avenue. Souvenir was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital in critical condition but succumbed to his injuries.

Jaime Taylor, 28, has been apprehended and charged with manslaughter in connection with the incident. Miramar Police Chief Delrish Moss stated that the shooting arose from an argument between the two men within the store, which escalated into violence.
Moss expressed concern over the increasing trend of firearms being used to escalate conflicts, leading to tragic outcomes. The incident has left Souvenir’s family, including his girlfriend, newborn child, four siblings, and parents, in shock and grief.
The Walgreens store remained closed on Monday afternoon, and crisis intervention specialists were deployed to support witnesses present during the shooting.
