Escanaba Community Mourns the Loss of Cheri Jean Severinsen
Escanaba, MI – Cheri Jean Severinsen, a devoted wife, mother, and pillar of the Escanaba community, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 7, 2025, at the age of 81. Her courageous battle with cancer and dementia came to a close, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on August 11, 1943, in Chicago, IL, Cheri was the daughter of Homer and Berneice (Mott) Schultz. She grew up to become a kind-hearted and compassionate individual, touching the lives of everyone she met.
Cheri’s life was marked by love, devotion, and a strong sense of family. She met the love of her life, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and adventure.
The Escanaba community will deeply miss Cheri’s warm smile, generous spirit, and unwavering kindness. As friends and family gather to celebrate her life, they will remember her remarkable strength, resilience, and dedication to those she loved.
