David Butterfield, a cherished member of the El Paso, Texas, community and former athletic trainer at Parkland High School, tragically passed away following a fatal accident in Montana. The Butterfield family was involved in a severe car accident while visiting relatives, resulting in David’s untimely death. His daughter, Kristina Butterfield, a basketball player for Hanks High School, sustained injuries in the same incident.
David’s commitment to student-athletes at Parkland High School left an indelible mark on those he mentored. His dedication and passion for sports medicine enriched the lives of many young athletes in El Paso.
