Tesla Driver Identified, Passenger Charged in Green Hills Mall Robbery and Shooting
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE – The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) has released the identity of the driver involved in a dramatic robbery and shooting incident at Green Hills Mall on Tuesday afternoon.
According to MNPD, 30-year-old Emmanuel M. Easley was behind the wheel of the Tesla that was involved in the incident, which began at the mall and ended with a crash on Interstate 65 in Berry Hill.

Omari Moore, 30, has been charged with aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in connection with the case.
Moore allegedly brandished a pistol with an extended magazine and forcibly took Louis Vuitton bags from a shopper in the mall parking lot.
The investigation revealed that the shopper pursued the Tesla as it drove away, and reportedly threw the extended magazine at the vehicle. Police later recovered the magazine and two spent shell casings from the parking lot.
After crashing the Tesla into a tree on the I-65 North entrance ramp, Moore exited the vehicle and approached a nearby guardrail, where officers found a pistol missing its magazine.
Moore claimed to be unaware of how or when the driver was shot. Detectives are still seeking to identify the robbery victim and are encouraging him to come forward for an interview.
According to MNPD, Omari Moore has a prior record, including convictions for burglary, felony theft, and evading arrest. He received a two-year sentence in 2022 for burglary and felony theft in Nashville.
