Double Fatal Collision on Highway 2 East of Browning
A devastating head-on collision occurred on Highway 2 at the Blackfoot Cutoff, east of Browning, resulting in the loss of two lives.
According to the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office, the incident took place at mile marker 230.4 when 25-year-old Jahly Braverock, driving a Chevrolet Silverado, attempted to overtake a snowplow and another vehicle while traveling westbound.
Braverock’s vehicle veered into the eastbound lanes, colliding head-on with a Ford Explorer driven by 41-year-old Rachel Augare, also from Browning.
The impact caused Braverock’s vehicle to swerve back into the westbound lanes before exiting the road.
Tragically, both Braverock and Augare were pronounced dead at the scene, with Augare partially ejected from her vehicle. The Glacier County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the incident on their Facebook page.
