Cullman Man Killed in Early Morning Single-Vehicle Crash
A tragic single-vehicle accident claimed the life of a Cullman man early Wednesday morning, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The crash occurred at 2:10 a.m. on Cullman County 616, near Cullman County 468, approximately four miles west of Hanceville.
The victim, 23-year-old Koby Tankersley, was critically injured when the 2001 Ford Ranger he was driving veered off the roadway, struck a fire hydrant, and then hit a cable box. The vehicle subsequently overturned and collided with several trees. Tankersley was pronounced dead at the scene.
The ALEA Highway Patrol Division is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details will be released as the investigation progresses.
