It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mitcham Black, fondly known as “I’Chum,” of La Clery, Castries. He passed away on March 5, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, talent, and kindness.

Mitcham was a past student of Saint Mary’s College and went on to impact many lives as a teacher, agriculturist, and musician. His passion for education, nature, and music touched countless individuals throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by his beloved son and daughter, as well as the entire Black family, who mourn his loss. The community joins in offering heartfelt condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
