Fatal Nightclub Shooting Claims Life of 42-Year-Old Ricky Marquez
A deadly shooting occurred outside the Papi Gallo Cantina in San Antonio over the weekend, claiming the life of 42-year-old Ricky Marquez. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that Marquez’s cause of death was a gunshot wound to the chest.
The incident unfolded at approximately 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, near the intersection of Grosvenor Boulevard and Commercial Avenue. According to the San Antonio Police Department (SAPD), an altercation between two individuals inside the nightclub escalated into gunfire when the parties moved outside.
Marquez was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. A second victim, whose identity has not been released, sustained gunshot injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The current condition of the second victim remains undisclosed.
The suspects involved in the shooting fled the scene immediately after the incident. SAPD detectives are actively investigating the case, reviewing surveillance footage, and interviewing witnesses to identify and locate those responsible.
