The alert was sent out around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, stating that the two girls were missing and not wearing shoes, raising concerns for their safety, especially given the current weather conditions.

Officials provided descriptions of the missing teens to aid in their search.
One of the girls functions at the cognitive level of a 10-year-old and was last seen wearing a green shirt and blue Lilo & Stitch pants.
The second girl was last seen wearing a white jacket with teal stripes and black leggings with teal stripes.
Authorities have not yet released photos or additional identifying details, making it even more crucial for the community to stay vigilant and report any potential sightings.
