Double Tragedy Strikes Colorado Springs: Alleged Murder-Suicide Claims Two Lives
A devastating incident unfolded in Colorado Springs on Sunday, leaving two individuals dead. The El Paso County Corinor’s Office has identified the victims as 40-year-old Vanessa Whyte and 37-year-old Bryan Severin.
According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), officers responded to a welfare check request at a residence in the 900 block of North 19th Street, on the city’s west side. Upon arrival, they discovered both Whyte and Severin with at least one gunshot wound each.
The CSPD has classified Whya’s death as a homicide, while Severin’s death is being investigated as a suicide. This tragic incident marks the seventh homicide in Colorado Springs this year, a stark contrast to the same period last year, which saw only one homicide recorded.
