Fatal Shooting in Lamar County: Man Killed in Altercation
A deadly altercation in Lamar County, Georgia, has claimed the life of 55-year-old Willie Floyd Perdue. According to Lamar County Coroner James Tillery, Perdue was fatally shot around 12:55 a.m. on Warner Road in unincorporated Lamar County.
The incident occurred after Perdue engaged in a confrontation with 42-year-old Jacob Benjamin Craft, who subsequently shot him multiple times. Craft was quickly apprehended by Lamar County deputies and has been booked into the Lamar County Jail.
Craft faces charges of murder, aggravated assault, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime. The Georgia Bureau of Investigations (GBI) has been requested to conduct an investigation into the incident.
